Once all the dim sums are shaped, steam them on medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Now shape the dim sum by squeezing the sides of dough disc. Take about a tablespoon of the chicken filling and place the filling in the center of the disc. Make sure the casing is thin, else it will not cook thoroughly and will not let the chicken cook evenly. Roll it into a thin round disc of about 2 inches diameter and about ¼ centimeter thick. Take small ball of dough of about 1 inch diameter. Tip out the dough on a flat surface and knead it again. Season with soy sauce, salt and black pepper to taste. Add chicken mince, chopped carrots, chopped leeks, minced garlic and chopped green onion in a large bowl and mix them together with a light hand. Cover it with a damp kitchen towel and keep it aside for 30 minutes.Add some dry flour if it gets sticky and continue kneading until it becomes soft. Chicken dim sum, the classic Chinese delicacy, is an uniquely special dish to enjoy on special occasions with friends and family. Wander and allow yourself to see where you are taken. Now that you have left your body, allow yourself to explore with curiosity and without any motive or plan. When you can see yourself, you are now having an out-of-body experience and beginning to astral project. If you cannot get out of your body and see yourself, you can use the rope method (visualizing a rope hanging from the ceiling and using this to pull yourself out of your body so you can see yourself beneath you). Allow the visual of yourself inside of the room to appear. Picture where you are with as much detail as possible and fixate on one specific point. Each time you exhale, tell yourself “my body is relaxing”, and allow the sensation of vibration to cover your body.īring all of your awareness up to your third eye (the space in between your eyebrows in the center of your forehead). Each part of your body is associated with a different energy point (or chakra). Start to focus on each part of your body starting with your feet and ending with your head. Meditate & Align Your Energy Points (Chakras) Putting on white noise, binaural beats or any other sounds that allow you to dive deeply into a meditative state is recommended. If you have set your intentions, the next step is to lay down or sit in a comfortable position. As noted above, you do not want to astral project without an intention. You can also envision a protective circle of white light if spiritual beings do not resonate with you. With practice and depending on your own natural ability, this can happen from your first experience but may take several weeks to occur-either way, be patient! Now, let me give you an easy and beginner friendly step-by-step guide to astral projection:Ĭall upon your spirit guides, angels or a higher power (depending on your belief system) to protect you and your energy on this journey. You may be asking yourself “how can I do this with no experience?” or “how can I astral project if I have struggled with this in the past?”. And although there is no recognition from the medical field about astral projection being “physically” possible, the profound and life-changing effects on the awareness of those who practice astral travel have shared may encourage you to entertain this ancient, mystical and spiritually-strengthening practice. In order to have a safe experience and get the most that you can from astral projection, approach this practice with openness, intention and an easeful mind. If you are confronted with difficult situations during astral projection, you may feel like you are losing touch with yourself and reality at large. However, in order to astral project safely, aligning your energetic points and connecting with your chakras is the most sure fire way to prevent yourself from having a scary or out-of-control experience. Much like disassociation, it has been said by many spiritual healers that astral projecting without intention can lead to a sense of losing control. Less like an involuntary out-of-body experience that is sudden, unplanned and has recognition from the medical community, astral projection is considered a more intentional and spiritual experience for those who partake. Humans have been practicing astral travel since the beginning of time, so how can we partake in this mystical experience in the modern world? In the Quran (or Koran), the Prophet Muhammad astral travels on the second leg of his journey from Mecca to Jerusalem, and then Jerusalem to the heavens. They would refer to the astral body as “Ka”. If you’re interested in astral projecting-or having an “out-of-body experience”, allow me to explain how it works.Īstral projection has been documented in several cultures, dating back to ancient Egyptian times. It has been recorded that during these experiences, people can astral project to different parts of the world, and based on some accounts, even different planes of existence. Astral projection is the act of your spirit (AKA “astral body” leaving your physical body while you are either sleeping or in a deeply meditative state. Have you ever had an out-of-body experience that allowed you to see yourself through a different lens of consciousness? Now, imagine intentionally inviting your consciousness to leave your body in order to have new experiences and explore faraway places. The issues do not appear to be related completely to complexity or video clip size: I have had 20-minute audio podcasts bomb out in mid-render, while experiencing no problems compiling a 90-minute program from 80-100 source clips, some of which were 2GB in size. I have Win10 Pro running an i7 chip (at 3.4GHz) with 32GB of Ram, and I still use v8.6 - but the Camtasia results vary depending on the project. I've not noticed any of these problems on my much older, and SLOWER windows 7 rig. Are there some special settings/tweaks I can use to have a smoother experience? But, this workflow is really unmanageable. It's by far the best sweet spot of powerful and simple to use. MemTest also passed with no bad sectors in my RAM. I've also run other rendering programs/done stability testing, and everything checks out. (And regardless of if I render if software only mode or not). I know that integrated graphics is NOT ideal, but the same problems persist whether I have hardware acceleration enabled or disabled. camproj file with all the slices together, and re-render it to make it one video instead of many. camproj files into 2 minute long pieces, render each one separately, and then make a new. The only way to produce a video is to split the. I've noticed this happens when camtasaia hits anything over 2.2 Gb of RAM. During editing the program routinely freezes-I've noticed it happen on my i7 any time the processor hits above 40%.After about 10 minutes the webcam is completely frozen. After about 3 minutes of capturing the webcam during a screen recording the audio and video are no longer even close to synced.I thought the problem was my school computer being an under-powered i3 with just 8 GB of RAM, and integrated graphics but my home machine is an i7 (8086K) with 16GB of ram (still integrated graphics), and I'm getting the same issues: I know this thread is REALLY old, but.IT'S NECRO TIME!Īnyone running 64bit windows 10 having issues with Camtasia 8? I've got it on my Home, and School computer, both on Windows 10, both having some real stability issues with this program. Use DGvoodoo2 as well but now the game must be 16 bits windowed, so you need to change this in the exe compatibility. In subcommand.ini Change "SoftwareCursor" to "Yes" if your mouse cursor in game dissapears erratically and flickers. There is an advantage of using this because you can configure details like VSync, Anisotropic Filtering and Antialiasing options and it looks great. The wrapper worked great for me but gave me some graphical glitches like garbled sonars in some russian subs. Of course If the wrapper d3d8.dll works for you there is no need to use my solution. I post to point an alternative about how to run DW and Sub Command in Windows 10 without the need of the known wrapper. Never mind.all fixed - did a complete fresh install! Why didn't I think of that in the first place?! I can't seem to find any mention of this in this forum but I'm sure I can't be the only one to have this issue!Īny suggestions would be gratefully received I tried running the windowed mode fix above, but whilst it allows me to run in windowed mode it does not fix this problem (unless I revert back to ModeID 1). The only way to fix it is to change the ini file ModeID value back to 1, in which case I lose the nice resolution and go back to ugly graphics. (Sorry - how do I add an image to this post?) I am having an issue with the messaging text at the bottom of the screen and the data in the top left of the navigation screen, being corrupted. I am also using the above wrapper DLL to get glorious 1600 x 1200 resolution on my 1920 x 1200 monitor which IMO looks fine and seems stable. I recently decided to resurrect my old copy of DW and am running it in Win10. If anyone is interested in this and doesn't know how to get started, I can provide help. you can even run the game windowed, however its still limited by the 16-bit color depth, which makes it IMO pointless, besides the fact that you can just run the game "fullscreen" in the VM, which can be a window by itself, so its not like you absolutely need windowed mode, as the VM is functioning as such. The only issue i've run into is if I accidentally resize the VMware window (wish there was a way to lock it, i'm not that familiar with it) it crashes the game. Now, if we could get a wrapper that functions similar to however VMWare is doing it, I think we'd be golden. this works fantastic, although the FPS aren't exactly stellar and i've had to turn the graphics down, it runs pretty much like it would on a machine from 2004. My best solution so far has been to run VMWare (free version) loaded with a free copy of WinXP SP3. usually I end up having issues in less than 15-20 minutes. occasionally i'd be able to get some of the lighter missions to run for about an hour. it works, but is very unstable for me and my system. for me, the wrapper is a very imperfect solution. When you need to change resolution, change it through the INI file, don't bother going to the options menu. make sure you are running the newer version (v.02 or whatever it is) should be dated įor me, after putting the wrapper dll (d3d8.dll) in the folder, I run the EXE with the following settings: change it back to nothing or windows 8 and it should run. The problem with the graphics layer is because you are running the game in XP SP2 mode. I have read everything I can regarding this problem' I also tried with patch 1.04 same results. "it appears DW is not installed on this computer. "failed to initialize the graphics display" ran as admin, (also tried reg without admin) selected XP service pak 2. Thanks! This worked for me (Although had to modify steps 4 and 5 somewhat for it to work for me, because renaming dangerouswaters.exe caused loading issues surrounding a "English text library file failed to load" error message)īasically I left the DW executable as dangerouswaters.exe but renamed the DxWnd executable to Steamrun.exe, so now when I run the game from Steam and it executes the Steamrun.exe, it actually is loading up DxWnd where I can run Dangerous Waters from.I copied the d2d8.dll file to the main DW folder. I've recorded 12 hours in the game so far using that technique. As long as DxWnd is running (and it will be running as long as DW is running), Steam will increase your playtime. From DxWnd, you can launch the true DW executable. Now when you launch the game through Steam, it'll launch DxWnd instead. This isn't cheap but I know that when I need it for peeling a lot of potatoes it is going to work. This is dishwasher safe but I hand wash and air dry mine there's too much of a chance of food getting stick in the peeler blades to risk putting it in the dishwasher. That is a lot of peeling but as mentioned, as long as you wash the potatoes first your peeler is going to last longer. When I use this it's usually to peel about four pounds of potatoes for a big dinner. I like the thickness of the handle on this one I wish there was a textured grip to it so that you didn't have to have completely dry hands to be able to use it but I can overlook that. One of the things that I hate about making mashed potatoes from scratch is having to peel potatoes I did have a glove that could be used to remove the skin from potatoes but you still needed to have a peeler on hand to get uneven areas and to dig out imperfect parts of the potato or if there are sprouts on it.ĭigging out the 'eye' of the potato is easy because this had a sculpted edge to it but if you are not washing your potatoes before you peel them, the dirt and sand that could be on them could end up dulling the blades that are used to peel the skin of the potato off. True Not Perfect But Works For Skin-Free Potatoes This is designed really well because you don't have to worry about cutting yourself when you use the peeler, like you have to do with some of the other potato peelers on the market. This is really easy to clean because I just put it in the dishwasher. That works to clean the potato peeler without leaving any food on the peeler. I just put it in the utensil part of the dishwasher. This was really affordable, and I have not had any problems with the peeler breaking. Then handle and blade are designed in a way that you don't have to worry about cutting yourself on the blade of the potato peeler. This makes it really easy to peel fruits and vegetables without having to worry about cutting yourself. Since I can't peel them with a kife, I always use the Kitchen Aid Potato Peeler. We're having zoodles again tonight.I really like to cook and bake, but I am the worst at peeling potatoes, apples, carrots, etc. Thank you for making such a good tool for my kitchen. The prices were comparable, but the value of the KitchenAid spiralizer hugely outweighed the other. I like everything about my purchase, so I took the other machine back. I was concerned that the main piece was just wiped down, until I realized that it doesn't touch the food. I made a quasi pasta salad without pasta. We like the box/case to hold all the pieces nicely. Then I used it and was thrilled! So is my husband. When it arrived, I was very happy with everything I saw. The KitchenAid Spiralizer was highly recommended and not much more in price than the hand spiralizer from Asia I had purchased. So I looked at other options on the internet. Unlike my mother, I am not a kitchen gadget collector. I brought it home and after examining it noticed some drawbacks. I was interested in making zoodles, so I went to my local kitchen gadget store and purchased the only one they had in stock. Love my Zoodle maker! Great addition to my KitchenAid mixer! He says the possibilities range from cosmic strings to dark matter to primordial black holes that formed soon after the Big Bang. "The theorists have really had a lot of fun coming up with models that can produce very similar types of gravitational wave signals," says Luke Zoltan Kelley, a theoretical astrophysicist at Northwestern University and NANOGrav. What they see is consistent with predictions about supermassive black holes, but it could be something even more unusual. The researchers don't yet know what's creating these waves. Rather than seeing one wave come rolling in, like someone standing on a beach, he says, it's more like the experience of swimming out in a choppy ocean. "It's really hard to attribute that the waves are coming from one direction or another," says Hazboun. What they found is a pattern of deviations from the expected pulsar beam arrival timings that suggests gravitational waves are jiggling space-time as though it's a vast serving of Jell-O. In their latest analysis, which is being published in a series of papers in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, the researchers looked at data from about 70 pulsars. "And if that pulse is a little bit late or a little bit early, then we may be able to attribute that to a gravitational wave passing through," says Hazboun, who explains that a gravitational wave will stretch or compress space-time, changing the distance that a pulse has to travel to get to Earth. They can then look for tiny deviations from that expected arrival time. The intervals are so regular that scientists can predict exactly when a pulse should arrive at Earth. "These pulses arrive at stunningly regular intervals." "Each time their beam crosses our line of sight, we see a pulse signal," says NANOGrav collaboration member Thankful Cromartie of Cornell University. That landmark discovery showed that gravitational waves truly existed, fulfilling a prediction made by Albert Einstein in 1916 and giving researchers a new way to study exotic phenomena like black holes and neutron stars. The first were seen in 2015, when a research consortium registered the waves created by the merger of two black holes that were each about 30 times as massive as the sun. Until now, scientists have only been able to detect gravitational waves created by much smaller black holes. Other research groups using telescopes in Europe, Australia, India, and China also say they're starting to see hints of these waves. "We're very happy to announce that our hard work has paid off." "We've been on a mission for the last fifteen years to find a low-pitched hum of gravitational waves resounding throughout the universe," says Stephen Taylor, a Vanderbilt University astrophysicist who serves as the chair of a team of researchers known as the North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves ( NANOGrav). Thus, the lateral surface area of an isosceles triangular prism is LSA = 2la + lb. Therefore, the total area of the three rectangles = 2la + lb Thus, the area of the third rectangle = l × b Let the length of the third rectangle is "l" units and the breadth of the third rectangle = 'b' units Thus, the area of the two congruent rectangles = 2 × l × a Let the length of the congruent rectangles is "l" units and the breadth of the congruent rectangles is "a" units. So let's first find the area of the 2 congruent rectangles: Since we already know that in an isosceles triangular prism, there are 2 congruent rectangles. ⇒ Area of two isosceles triangles = 2 × 1/2 × b × h = b × h Let us consider an isosceles triangle with the equal sides be "a" units, the base of each of the triangle be "b" units and the height of the triangle is "h"Īrea of an isosceles triangle = (1/2 × base × height) = 1/2 × b × h The surface area of the isosceles triangular prism is found as SA = Sum of areas of 2 isosceles triangles at the bases + Sum of the areas of the 3 rectangles. The lateral area of an isosceles triangular prism is found as Lateral area, LA = Sum of the areas of all the vertical faces = Sum of the areas of the three rectanglesĭerivation of Surface Area of Isosceles Triangular Prism Since we know that the vertical faces in the case of an isosceles triangular prism are rectangles, therefore, to find the lateral area we will have to find the areas of all the vertical faces and then add them up. Lateral Area refers to the total area of the lateral or vertical faces of any solid. ⇒ SA = Sum of areas of 2 isosceles triangles + Sum of the areas of the 3 rectangles The surface area of an isosceles triangular prism is found as SA = Sum of areas of all the faces To find the surface area of an isosceles triangular prism, we will have to add the areas of the 2 isosceles triangles at the base facing each other and the area of the rectangles formed by the corresponding sides of the two congruent triangles. The surface area of an isosceles triangular prism refers to the sum total of the area of all the faces of an isosceles triangular prism. Formula for Surface Area of Isosceles Triangular Prism |
